Next Monday I will be on a plane to Oregon. Ever since I came back from visiting Portland in the fall, I’ve been anxious to go back. I love it there. There are so many kind and supportive (supportland) people I met out there and now I have such a soft spot in my heart for it.
Here are a few things I’ll be appearing and reading at:
January 10th, Portland, Oregon
The Blue Monk
3341 Southeast Belmont Street
Featured readers include: writer Chloe Caldwell (NY), writer Monica Drake (PDX), poet Brian Ellis (PDX). SPECIAL GUEST WRITER FROM PORTLAND: Roy Coughlin. Musical Guests: Curious Hands. Hosted by Matty Byloos and Carrie Seitzinger. Doors and drinks at 8:00, music at 8:30, writers after with intermissions. Facebook event here.
January 17th, Seattle, Washington
1634 11th Ave
Perfect Day Publishing and ZAPP co-host the release party for Martha Grover’s “One More for the People.” Martha will read from her “One More for the People,” the first collection of her zine Somnambulist with Portland zinester James Yeary, Seattle zinester Julia Lipscomb, the anonymous author of “Love is Not Constantly Wondering if You Are Making the Biggest Mistake of Your Life” and Chloe Caldwell with her book “Legs Get Led Astray” forthcoming from Future Tense Books this spring. 7PM. Facebook event here.
A living room poetry reading series. Curated by Donald Dunbar and Jamalieh Haley. Featuring Kevin Sampsell and Bryan Coffelt! Maybe I will read something too. Who knows. Things might get crazy. 730pm.
Hope to see you somewhere!
With lots of love,
